What is happening with the soccer field?

Our town soccer field that has been a public park in the community of Playa El Tunco since 1965 is on the brink of being lost. The owners of this property, The Nuñez Escalón Foundationn, have placed it up for sale. They have offered a discount to our community so that we will have the possibility of maintaining it a public park. With $60,000 we can save the field and later create a public sports complex for everyone to enjoy.

What is the plan to save the field?

As an initial boost for the fundraiser, the local businesses of Playa El Tunco are donating $500 to make a down payment to the Nuñez Escalón Foundation. With this down payment we will hopefully have 3-5 years to pay off the principal. We have formed our own Foundation “ASODEPLAYAELTUNCO”, that has planned events and activities to raise the necessary funds.
